The Short Game
Playing a "short game" in golf doesn't mean bailing out after just a few crummy holes.
One writer defined "short game" this way -
"...anytime you are using a wedge or your ... any shot you hit from 50 yards or closer to the pin."
I want to lower my handicap. It is recommended to allocate approximately 60% of my practice time to the short game, as most shots are taken from 100 yards or closer. Yeah, right, like that's gonna happen.
After searching "short game golf practice," Google offered 31 million hits and numerous videos on YouTube. Additionally, I have Dave Pelz's "Short Game Bible" book. The book is so thick with advice that my wife Cathy and I also use it as a booster seat for our granddaughter Izzy!
The book has helped, but I can still blade my ball over the green with a wedge. When that happens, my inner golf voice tells me to take some lessons with Andrew.
