Handicap Knowledge

Having local knowledge is crucial for lowering your handicap,
and handicap knowledge is crucial for posting lower and, unfortunately, higher scores.
2024 Club Authorization Education Quiz
The USGA requires Salishan Golf Links to be certified every year. This allows SGL to use the Rules of Handicapping and provide a Handicap Index for its members. Linda and I must score 80% or more for certification, which we did. To test you, I will share 2-3 questions and their answers monthly. It's not necessary to email your answers to Linda and me.

Monthly Posted Scores Report

Hole by Hole Report
Because it's easy to run, I am adding an HBH report. Depending on the member's feedback, this report may become quarterly. The report calculates all the members who score hole by hole. Your GHIN app allows this option when posting your scores.
I only glanced at the Copper tee report and was surprised to see that hole #7 is ranked the hardest hole, but there were 2 birdies scored for the hole, while hole #1 had none in three months of play. Maybe if everyone entered hbh, the results would be different.
