What The Luck? "If it wasn't for bad luck...
you know I wouldn't have no luck at all," Albert King sings while Gary Player reveals, "The harder I practice, the luckier I get." If Gary played Salishan Golf Links today (March 1st), he would need to post his score, lucky or not, as it's the first day of the active golf season in the Pacific Northwest. If you're new to golf or need a refresher on why the posting is necessary, please refer to this previous blog post.
The handicap committee has revised the Salishan Handicapping Policy to be synched with the USGA policy. You can view it by clicking "Handicap" on the left side bar. The policy, in short form, will also be posted on both locker room bulletin boards.
With snow predicted above 1,000 feet today, playing golf at sea level shouldn't be a problem, as long as you don't mind playing in the rain. Be lucky if you can't be good, and have a great time out there!
