Beats Me

Some things simply aren’t worth overthinking.
Why is there a fringe on the cart’s roof? How annoying is that roof support rod when driving? Is she wearing sunscreen? Will they let Bigfoot play through? Beats me. It’s not worth pondering these questions.
However, as co-chair of the Salishan Golf Links Handicap Committee, there is one thing that does deserve careful thought: the committee’s effectiveness. The committee's goal for the membership is to provide clear education on the rules of handicapping and ensure those rules are followed. Based on the feedback we've received so far, the committee is par for the course.
All members, whether long-standing or brand new, are encouraged to review the Salishan Golf Links Handicap Policy. The policy is available by clicking “HANDICAP” on the left side of this page.

Scores Posted Report

A quick review of 'rounds played vs. rounds posted' was conducted today to identify members who need a reminder to post their acceptable scores. 10% of the membership was randomly selected. If you receive an email from the SGL Handicap Committee in the next few days, consider it your first warning about not following the handicapping rules and adjust your posting habits to comply with the SGL Handicap Policy. The committee will continue with random audits throughout the season. Thanks for your understanding.
