Adjustments

A tweak here and another tweak there.

Tweaking or making minor adjustments is typical in golf. Adjusting a club's loft and lie is especially crucial. Changing your stance or grip can significantly affect the ball's flight. A slight modification to your putting line can determine the success of your round. Additionally, there's the "wedgie tweak"—not about sand or lob wedges but about readjusting your underwear after crouching to line up a putt or retrieving your ball from the hole.

The Salishan Golf Links Handicap Committee relies on adjustments to your index to ensure the playing field is level. We have the USGA Handicap Review Tool to make those adjustments. It is used to analyze all scores from the previous 365 days and to identify players who score above or below their expected range more often than anticipated, or who have other abnormalities in their scoring record. In these instances, a recommended adjustment to the player's Handicap Index is provided.

An adjustment will be applied only at the discretion of the Handicap Committee. If the adjustment is applied, the player's Handicap Index will be updated to reflect it and will be identified with an "M" next to their Handicap Index (e.g., 14.3M), and you will be notified by us.
